A MOTHER’S PAINFUL LOVE AND REVENGE STORY

Fun fact: I put off watching this drama initially because I didn’t really like the male lead. I didn’t like him from “The Glory” (put down your eyes). I had to start the drama anyways because everyone was on and about it, I regret not starting earlier. Lee Do Hyun has made it to the top of my list 🎉

Question 1: Favorite character (s)?

M/A: Lee Mi Joo- I like how she stood against her dad for her mum at such a young age, how she brightened Kang Ho's life and cheered him on, how she had the cutest and smartest twins ever, her determination and boldness too.

Jou-ri village chief’s wife- What a weird but interesting character! I was so excited to see her without the mask in the last episode. Her honesty is dangerous, lol. She is one character that made the drama more fun to watch for me and for you too, I know.

Bang Sam Sik- This character made us laugh amidst all the tears. Yoo In Soo is always making big waves.

Question 2: Favorite scene(s)?

M/A: The last Seo Jin and Ye Jin scene- I love the Seo Jin and Ye Jin characters too, who doesn’t? I love the cute and talented casts that played them more. Their interaction with Kang Ho was always interesting to watch. Every one of their scenes was not less fun at all to watch. Seo Jin getting upset over her mother taking her man and then getting excited right after because she met someone else got me so much😂 Cutie doesn’t have time to cry over any man that messes up, lol.

Kang Ho's mum hailing him after he won the final trial- I couldn’t hold back my tears, that scene was totally unexpected and so touching.  (I'll try embarrassing my friends like that out of excitement for something great they did and have them bawling in surprise while feeling special🧚)

Kang Ho/Mi Joo moments- Especially that of Kang Ho consoling her with a kiss while she was crying because he missed the law exam for her. How much more lovely can these two get?

RANDOM: I didn’t expect so much from this drama but it went down really well. It wasn’t just a revenge story, there was the heartbreaking mother/son relationship side to it, the other small stories of the many interesting characters too(I miss YouTuber Ye Jin, lol) 

I didn’t understand Kang Ho's mum at some point. She made him grow up like that to avenge his father’s death but almost wished he never recovered so he wouldn’t continue the revenge because she is worried about him. Did she think revenge was going to be easy at first? 

Lee Do Hyun is such an excellent actor to have embodied that role so well. I feel bad to have judged him wrongly at first. The people of Jouri were a whole vibe too, I’m glad they were good to Kang Ho and Kang Ho Omma even with the temptations to treat them badly.

The drama went at its best pace, was emotion-filled, every character was given a sufficient amount of screen time and it was concluded nicely and well. Fourteen great episodes.
