REVIEWING AND RATING KILL BOKSOON
Screenwriter: Byung Sung Hyun
Sol Kyung Gu (Cha Min Kyu)
Kim Shi Ah (Gil Jae Yeong)
Koo Kyo Hwan (Han Hee Sung)
Lee Yeon (Kim Yeong)
Lee Jae Wook (young Cha Min Kyu)
Fun fact: Jeon Do Yeon made me watch this one. Aside from the fact that everyone online talked about it, I thought it would be interesting to watch her in an action role after seeing her performance in “Crash Course in Romance”.
The fight practice scene of Gil Boksoon and the young intern. That defeat with the marker was iconic. I doubt someone can fling a marker cap at another from such a distance to make such an impact but anyways, that scene had me in awe too.
Speaking on the mother-daughter relationship, Gil Boksoon always worried about her daughter and complaint about her being arrogant and secretive but why won’t she be though? In a bid to hide the nature of her job from her daughter, she became overprotective of her and always had this “I’m hiding something” look in her eyes, I wasn’t surprised her daughter behaved the way she did initially. They got to know and accept each other in the end. Big relief.
Aside from Gil Boksoon, Cha Min Kyu’s aura was fire too but look how he was defeated. I’ll never fall in love, I cried (lol). I want to mourn that character but he murdered the young intern so cruelly, I will waste no tears on him for that. The army uniform man made such a big fuse only to be killed like that? Disappointing. Our AOS Jang Uk made an appearance, swoooosh!
The film was concluded nicely, every character gave in their best and I have no complaints aside from the fact that we were not shown what was delivered to Gil Boksoon’s daughter and why she acted like nothing came in at all.
remind everyone of the Choi Chi Yeol character?
