REVIEWING AND RATING “A TIME CALLED YOU”

TITLE

“A Time Called You” for a title’s first impression is SAD but still unique and doesn’t give away the storyline. Everyone talked about it so much on the X app weeks before it was even released. There’s an already existing non-K-drama that has the same time travel storyline and everyone was excited to see the story from the lens of a Korean drama, I guess. I found myself anticipating it too because of that and I watched as soon as it was released. The episodes were aired all at once like they knew we wouldn’t be able to process it well if we had to watch two episodes per week. Great watch though, I must say.

                CHARACTERS

-In Gyu. Starting with him because he was such a sunshine character. I do prefer always bubbly and playful like Nam Si  Heon but watching In Gyu changed my preference a whole lot, lol. Watching In Gyu is one of my favorite things about this drama, honestly.  Kang Hoon executed his role so well. Someone said he always has this cool, soft boy vibes lol, I couldn’t agree less. 

-Nam Si Heon and Koo Yeon Ju were great characters too. Ahn Hye Seop is truly a great actor for being able to pull off two different roles in the same drama just when I thought he could only pass for a rich CEO :) His acting in “A Time Called You” flowed naturally. He has made my TTF ( top ten favorite) list. Trophy 

-Jun Hee/Kwon Min Ju, someone please tell me how I can send flowers to Jeon Yeo Bin for being such an amazing actress with the two roles.

-Jun Hee’s high school friend, this character had such a funny cute face and very interesting behavior. I don’t know how to buttress my point here. We weren’t shown much of her but the few times made me want more. Do you feel the same way about this character? She made scenes she appeared in more colorful.

                                        SCENES

Lots of scenes in this drama are worth talking about but these got me more:

-The scene of In Gyu clapping on his ears with his face down to stop Si Heon from apologizing to him is the cutest thing I’ve seen on this planet. Oh my God! When and where is Kang Hoon having his next fan meeting, please anyone? I need to let him know how very much of a good actor he is.

-I really like long hair Koo Yeon Jun and Jun Hee’s interactions when they reunited after the accident. It was sad to watch yet calming and cute.

Seo Ji Won’s Gather My Tears

You can’t talk about “A Time Called You” without mentioning this song, truly. I went on Spotify to listen to it again after having so much of it from the drama and I’m so convinced it’s such a great song for my phone’s ringtone and a perfect song to destress after a long tiring day. smiles

So,  for you that doesn’t understand the time travel thing, we have Si Heon and Jun Hee with exactly the same appearance as Yeon Jun and Min Ju but they are entirely different people. The love story was between Si Heon and Jun Hee. Koo Yeon Jun is just the name of the body Si Heon time traveled into. Again, the time traveling was to the past for Jun Hee and to the future for Si Heon, all done to preserve their love, right. I hope you understand, maybe not completely but to an extent. Ask questions if you have any and correct me if you think I’m wrong somewhere, I don’t think I am though : )

I give this drama that because it’s something I can go back to rewatch and I liked how hyper active Jun Hee as Kwon Min Ju was and how it made everyone around her happy. I wonder if this time-traveling thing still happens. I guess it will be fun to experience, maybe adventurous.

Anyway, A Time Called You is such a relaxing drama with a satisfying ending. Although, you might need to think thoroughly to understand the storyline and follow up the story it was a good mental exercise 😂and so worth the watch time. Watch if you are curious but don’t if you’re having a bad day and you don’t have a lot of patience. 

"A Time Called You” is a great drama. Really great!
