REVIEWING AND RATING LOVESTRUCK IN THE CITY

Director: Park Shin Woo

Screen writer: Jung Hyun Jung

Casts: Ji Chang Wook (Park Jae Won), Kim Ji Won(Lee Eun O/Yoon Seon A), Kim Min Seok(Choi Kyung Joon), So Ju Yeon(Seo Rin I), Ryu Kyung Soo(Kang Geon), Han Ji Eun(Oh Seon Young)

(Every other cast and crew member did an equally amazing job)

Fun fact: Kim Ji Won made me watch this one. I’ve never refused to watch any of her works after I saw ”My liberation notes” and “Descendants of the sun”. This drama is sort of like a relationship documentary, I must say. I binged watched from start to finish majorly because I wanted to see Jae Won  and Lee Eun O get back together but it got a lot more interesting watching and listening to their views on the sweets and bitters of relationships.

Question 1: Favorite character(s)?

MA: RIN I- For how she still wanted to be independent and do only things that made her happy despite having a well to do boyfriend. Sometimes though, I don’t really understand why she choose the hard life (the broken fork incident, for instance) but I’ll still keep her as my first favorite character anyways.

HAE NA- She is just so cute and cool.

Question 2: Favorite scene(s)?

MA: Has to be every Seon A- Jae Won surfing scene. Now, I want to learn how to surf. It looks dangerous but fun.

Random: This drama isn’t like the other k-dramas I’ve seen, I’ll give it that. Instead of a straight story like the usual, it was interviews and reflections which made everything more interesting. I got an amount of relationship counsel, lol. Amongst others, “getting into and staying in relationships require conscious efforts”. Yes, I learnt well.

Eun O-Jae won: He found her while she was finding herself, interesting story line. Well, thank goodness they got back together in the drama. I’d have lost it if they didn’t.

The actress and the police officer: This is a case of friends refusing to acknowledge their love for each other ๐Ÿ˜’ The “allow me one minute of your time” moment was so beautiful. I love them.

Rin I-Kyung Joon: The issue these two had was a big one. I think Rin I’s problem sprang from some sort of psychological trauma root even though non of her friends thought her attitude was abnormal. Otherwise, why will someone choose the hard life. I strongly believe they will get back together with time though. They are so in love with each other to break up like that.

Kang Geon-Seon Young: This one is a case of misunderstandings and slow communication. Why didn’t he tell her that her suspicions were wrong the first time, he just kept quiet and dragged time. Anyways, I believe they will get back together too, time is all it’s going to take.

I’m playing optimist well๐Ÿ™‚

Was the drama a happy ending? For me, yes. They just didn’t show us everything. It was a great watch.

My rating; 7/10 for the education and every other thing.

Quick question: Was this drama a happy ending for you?
