DRAMA LINES FOR THE MONTH/CHARACTER OF THE MONTH (APRIL 2023)

Last month, I started and finished a couple of dramas, finished some others that I started before, started but yet to finish the rest. Below are lines from some of the dramas I watched last month that I think are beautiful.

1. “Freedom is just another word for nothing left to lose” – Soulmate

2. “The sun can shine brightly because of the shadow” – Soulmate

3. “Pain is temporary, pleasure is permanent” – Soulmate

4. “Don’t push yourself too hard” – Duty after school

5. “Everyone for themselves” – Kill Boksoon

6. “Even beggars have dreams” – The Secret Romantic Guesthouse

Character of the month: The prisoner from duty after school.

There was something about him the first time I saw him behind the bars with the others. He was actually the one whose mum was sick yet he didn’t use that to his advantage. How he was more interested in what was happening outside and why the young students were given guns while the rest had fun and scared the students. How he survived those damn mini spheres without a working gun. How he save Ae Seol and Na Ra from the psychopath and his final words before walking away. 

“I was curious why those appeared out of nowhere. I think I know why now. It’s because humans…are trash. They’re here to clean up”

This character was truly the highlight of my April 2023 with k-dramas.
